The remodeling of our lake home on Cross Lake has made a stunning impression and to think it all started with a desire for a bigger and more workable center island and better lighting. The larger curved window over the kitchen sink to replace the much smaller one made a huge difference with aesthetics. With the redone paneling, granite counter tops, stone backs on wet bar and island, pine wood flooring the renovating turned out to be much more spectacular than I ever imagined. I love the new wet bar. It has proven to be great for entertaining with a much needed ice maker, two refrigerator drawers for sodas, beer and mixes, wine rack, wine refrigerator and recycling bins. When I want to serve Shrimp as an appetizer, the wave bar sink can be used as a server by filling it with ice. It is so much fun to be cooking and working in a kitchen that has all the amenities. Easy to use spice racks in a drawer and roll out shelves in the pantries make it efficient to use and I especially like the closing mechanism in the drawers that closes with an easy touch. The green stained buffet with bronze metal doors and wicker baskets and the open cubbies add interest to the beautiful cherry cabinets. The newly remodeled powder room off the kitchen has a fun etched tile border of north wood animals and birds. The desk area has been invaluable to me and I know I will never tire of coming home and entering such a beautiful kitchen and great room. It truly has the warm Northerly feel that we love so much.

We love our kitchen remodel so much, we chose Crystal Kitchen Center to do our master bathroom remodel too. With Crystal, good design is a given, but we found that you can’t put a price on passion, integrity, attention to detail and having a project go smoothly from start to finish. They were worth every penny. In fact, the only things that went wrong were the things we were in charge of ourselves! We love our new kitchen and bathroom and loved working with Jolynn and Crystal Kitchen Center.

From start to finish every detail of our project was expertly attended to. Initially, Mary, our Crystal Kitchen designer, worked with us to come up with a plan for our three bathrooms. We were overwhelmed, but Mary helped to break design elements and product needs into manageable parts by guiding our choices when needed. Her design advice was never heavy-handed and always helped us determine what was best and right for us. Jolynn, Crystal Kitchen’s owner/project manager kept all aspects of the remodel on track. The subcontractors are excellent and work well together. Everyone worked as an efficient, effective team focused on quality outcomes. The remodel calendar was an accurate guide, which Jolynn frequently supplemented with updated information about what would be happening when. Target completion dates were consistently met. Our bathrooms were completed on time and met our expectations. Additionally, we had several home update/repair projects needing attention. Jolynn cheerfully arranged for the appropriate subcontractor to do each project. We are happy to not only have well-done, lovely, functional bathrooms but also home repairs that are no longer languishing.

Living through a complete kitchen remodel typically is not thought of as
an enjoyable experience but this was the exception. From our first visit to Crystal Kitchen’s showroom where we met with Mary Maney to discuss our project to the finished kitchen it actually was fun. Mary understood our objectives and offered expert guidance and suggestions to see that they all were realized. Her knowledge of design, products and materials could not be topped. Most of all we appreciated her patience and willingness to suggest and explain alternatives, sometimes over and over, to ensure that we were happy with our decisions. Jolynn also was great and kept everything on schedule almost to the minute. The subcontractors she employs were outstanding and it was a pleasure to work with them.
We love it all. We wanted to incorporate some Portuguese accents so we started with tiles and that contributed to the wood for the cabinets, color of the counter tops and lighting fixtures. Everything complements the other components of the kitchen. If we ever have another project, for sure CKC will get the call.
