Medicine Ridge Mid Century

Design Winner 2019 Local NKBA Awards, Crystal Choice Winner 2019, & Crystal Design Award 2nd Place

Plymouth, MN

The homeowners were working with an architect to remodel the main living space to the split-level home in Plymouth, MN with lake views.

The homeowner liked the architect’s vision for the kitchen and CKB & Crystal Cabinet Works provided the quality cabinetry the homeowner desired. Two door styles of frameless Encore cabinets were selected. The Celeste cabinets were painted Designer White and the Como cabinets were finished in the Noce Daniella laminate.

Because the plan call for a limited number of wall cabinets, it was imperative the base cabinets were well planned. An inventory and measurements of dishes, glasses, cooking utensils, etc. were collected to plan each drawer and roll-out. Drawer boxes depths were changed to accommodate glasses and dishes with the drawer plate organizer.

A dramatic “bridge” of peninsula wall cabinets are suspend from the soffit that divides the kitchen and dining areas.

Drawer dividers were specially configured to accommodate pots, pans and trays. Additional rollouts were added to assure every item had a home. A dramatic “bridge” of peninsula wall cabinets are suspend from the soffit that divides the kitchen and dining areas. The cabinets open on both sides to store seasonal items. Working with the architect required great attention to detail in this Plymouth remodel. By modifying Crystal Cabinets we were able to realize the architect’s vision of continuous lines and reveals. A special detail requested by the architect was to score the end panels that support the snack bar to continue the line of the toe kick height without having a recessed toe kick.
